I just discovered Blog Stats!

What a cool invention! It’s automatically built in to wordpress, so at a glance, I can see how many people view my blog, and what site they were referred from. I didn’t know about this feature of wordpress, but I can see that I’m going to have a lot of fun with it.
For example, one day last week, this blog had 295 hits. Prior to that, my average daily view was less than 20. That number (20) is not surprising, since I don’t have a blogroll, and only 2 people link to me in their blogs. Up until yesterday, there wasn’t a link in my old blog to this new blog, so the sudden jump in hits is surprising. I was inclined to think there was something wrong with the stats, until I looked deeper at the blog stats, and can pin down where the new traffic came from – a link to a stitching site where I’ve never been a member.
So, if you’ve been visiting my blog, I’d like to encourage you to say “hi” by posting a comment, or sending me an e-mail! (See? Over there on the left is a link with my e-mail address!)
Very cool feature Susan. I loved seeing who was reading my website when I had it, and I especially love now seeing how much time “certain” people spend on my blog, totally cracks me up!!! But you with 295 hits, you must feel like a celebrity!!!!! I’m impressed! And I think I know that stitching site, in fact, I think I’ve been a member there,
Those witches certainly won’t come out in the open to post a comment. They’re too chicken to spew their wrath in public because then everyone will know exactly what they’re like.
