This is Little House Needleworks’ “Garden Pleasures”. I fell in love with this design when I saw Nicole’s recent finish. She kindly offered to trade it for my Peach Tree Cottage, so we’ve enabled each other. Thanks, Nicole!
I didn’t have all the overdyeds that were called for, so I just stitched it up with what I had on hand, mostly DMC. The dress called for “Raspberry Parfait” by GAST. I didn’t have that in my stash, but I did have “Strawberry Fields” by Weeks Dye Works, and I thought the color looks perfect.
I don’t know what fabric I used – I just pulled some white evenweave out of my stash.
I liked this chart so much, that I’ve started it again, this time “over one”, as Nicole did with hers. For the over-one, I’m using the 28ct. Lambswool Joblelan. The piece I had left on hand wasn’t enough to stitch the chart over 2, but is perfect for the over one finish.
I’ve added some charts to my “Stash Reduction” page - I’ve got some gently used LHN/CCN charts to trade. If you’re interested in a trade, let me know what you’ve got available – I’m still on my LHN/CCN kick (believe it or not!)
I want to send a special {{{hug}}} to my mother. My step-father died 10 years ago today. I’m thinking of you, mum. Also on this day, 17 years ago, my daughter was born.
Wow this one is just adorable. Congratulations on the finish.
Beautiful finish! and HUGS to you for your daughter. Suz
(((hugs)))
Sent you an email re the stash.
Susan,
Garden Pleasures looks beautiful! The WDW was perfect for it! If you still have City Stitcher Country Stitcher I’m interested in it. I have LHN Faith or Cappuccino and CCN Harvest Blessings if you’d like any of those. I also have a 18 x 18 cut of 28 ct. Bone Lugana.
Just let me know!
Hugs for you too! I know how hard it must be for you right now. My mom is always a little down around my sisters birthday too.
P.S. I would’ve emailed, but I deleted all my old emails and lost your email address in the process!
Wow! You’ve been on a frenzy!! I love it and have this one to do as well some day
It looks gorgeous and can’t wait to see what it looks like over 1!
Very cute! Thanks for visiting me and come again any time. Hugs to your mom. Have a great day!
Lovely finish on Garden Pleasures. Glad you were able to use floss and fabric from your stash to do it. Its so satisfying (to me at least!) when I’m able to make substitions and use what I have on hand instead of going out and buying exactly what is called for. It also adds that extra personal touch to your piece and makes it just slightly different from everyone elses.
Hi, I luckily found your blog, and it’s so lovely!
I also like CCN and LHN (but haven’t done many yet…), so it was really fun to look trough your CCN / LHN works!!
This Garden Pleasures is really lovely, I have the chart, so will try it in the near future!
And I don’t have special threads much either, so will try to stitch with DMC, but yours really looks great!
I added your blog to my favourite, and will definitely visit here again!!
I love it, Susan
It is on my to stitch list
Yours turned out great
