It’s so pretty!

A few weeks ago, I went to Joann Fabrics, looking for some DMC. Specifically, I was looking for 772, which I need for “Roses”. I couldn’t find any of that color – does anyone want to trade? I hate the idea of making a special trip out to get one skein of floss, since I don’t live close to a store that discounts (my local LNS here in Chicago charges 70 cents per skein.)
Anyway, I didn’t find the 772, but I saw this, and I knew I had to have it. I felt the need to justify the purchase. After all, I don’t “need” it, but when has “need” ever entered into the picture when we’re talking stitching, right?
I’ve been wanting one since I saw one in Nicole’s blog a number of months back. I went online to Joann’s, but they no longer stock it, and I don’t know if it is even being produced anymore. So, when I saw this one, at 50% off, I just “had” to get it.
I already have an Ott Floor Lamp, and a “generic” folding lamp, but neither of them are pink! I can use this one when I go on trips or retreats (not that I have any planned in my future, but I’ll be prepared for it when the time does come, right?)

Sweetie, you should give me a holler when you need DMC. I have to pass by a Hobby Lobby every single day and their regular price is 28 cents. And then we can get together for lunch or coffee or something the next day.
And I love that pink Ott!!! I’ve been thinking about handing my travel Ott over to my teenager to decorate lately.
OMG, I need one of those too! The 3 lamps I have (2 floor – 1 portable) aren’t pink!
Of course you *need* it. Why did you even question it? LOL. Now I need one too. I have a floor lamp and a half broken generic table lamp (the base broke). It is black and I think I should do the proper thing and replace it with a pretty pink one.
Does that have a 13 W bulb?

I know i’m chiming in late, but I just had to say I love your Ott light! I have a portable one, but its boring black and doesn’t have the nifty handle. I’d love a pink one!
Oh, that is the problem when you put of buying something, it just might not be available the NEXT time you are looking.
I think it is too cute. I’ve never seen the light in pink!!
