A number of months ago, I signed up for Vonna’s PIF. The rules of participating in a PIF are that you have to offer to craft 5 piecesĀ for other bloggers, which I did. I had no takers – I’m hoping that doesn’t mean nobody likes my stitching, but rather, nobody likes the commitment involved in participating.
In the spirit of PIF even though I had nobody sign up, I decided that I would offer 5 pieces in my blog over the course of the year.
So, without further ado, here is my first offering – it’s Little House Needleworks’ “Rose Sampler” finished as an embellished bag. If you are interested in receiving this, without any obligation (!), please leave a comment to this post. I will draw names from the people who sign up by June 3.
Here are some pictures. I really should spend more time working on my photography skills, because these pictures are awful, but I thought they were better than not seeing any pictures:

I would like to enter your giveaway. Thank you.
I will enter!!! Just found your blog surfing the net! Love your stitching!
I’d love to enter into your giveaway too
I had no takers with my PIF earlier this year too so I will be doing a similar thing to you with the random giveaway.
Enter me too. I already signed up for a PIF so I don’t want to sign up for more as I don’t know how to finish my cross stitching.
I was tempted to sign up for the PIF, but I remember how stressed out I started getting with exchange stitching when I was doing it, so I didn’t want to commit myself to stitching gifts for a while yet and just enjoy stitching for the sake of stitching a bit longer … I’m on a selfish kick instead this year LOL. I think anyone would be thrilled to receive a stitched piece from you, it’s probably that there are just so many PIF’s happening that everyone’s possibly already committed to another one
Count me in also. I, too, signed up for a PIF with no takers. So, I’ll be doing exactly what you are.
Me me me! Thank you so much for the opportunity.
Susan you are so sweet to offer this in a giveaway – I am the proud owner of some of your work and it’s beautiful – I’d love a chance to win again. Thank you!
I’m sure it was about commitment, as your stitching and finishing is beautiful!
Susan, I’d love to receive this piece! I’ll have to agree with Holly – your work is beautiful.
Your stitching is great and I’d love to have a sample of it.
IIf i was to win the piece I would add it to all the other pieces that I have received over the years, and be able to bost “My daughter made that, isn’t she clever.”
I would love to enter for the bag. I don’t have a blog, so that is the reason I didn’t sign up for your pay it forward. I really enjoy your blog and I think your stitching is beautiful.
I don’t sign up for PIF’s because it would take me 10 years to pay them off! LOL You know I love your stitching! Suz
OH CRAP! I almost missed out! Vacations have a way of cutting into my blogging time! LOL!!!!
YES!!! I’d love to be included in the drawing!
I shimmied on down here in a hurry! Yes…ME ME ME!
I had done the PIF last year and just didn’t feel I could commit this year. What a gorgeous bag, I hope you draw my name
.
I’d like to be included in your draw please
I think PIFs are great, but I don’t have a blog. . .please enter me in your drawing and thank you for the wonderful opportunity to win.
Beautiful finishing job on this! I’d love to be entered to win this wonderful piece – thank you!
Oh Susan! What a lovely bag!!
Am I still be in time in your time???
Please enter me in a drawing!
Sorry you had no takers for your PIF. It has to be a commitment issue. Your work is always so beautiful!
Wonderful idea to have a giveaway in lieu of a PIF! Your bag is lovely and anyone would be thrilled to win in, including me!
your stitching is amazing and the finish is just perfect.
Your purse is darling, and makes me wonder what I can find in my finish pile to copy your idea. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right?
Or I could win and save myself Another Project. My creative side says “You could have so much fun!” but my scheduling side shakes its head sadly as it looks at the list of projects already waiting to be started and hopes for the win.
Please enter me, too! Am I too late?
Your piece is beautiful.
Take care, Susan.
I’ve been checking in on your blog for quite a while, and shame on me for not leaving a comment sooner!
Your bag is stunning!!! I simply must learn how to make one
Susan,
I know it’s too late to enter, but I just found your picture and blog and wanted to let you know that I think your bag is just lovely. I can’t wait to see what other beautiful things you create.
I know for me I could never sign up and commit to making 5 things; my DH would kill me if trying to get them done doesn’t, as the obligation ends up stressing me out. I don’t think you should take it personally, and anyone who didn’t like your ideas doesn’t know what they’re missing because this is beautiful!
I had to say…I didn’t sign up because I didn’t read this ’til after June 3. I’m so behind on blog reading!! But it’s just beautiful. =) I’m with Robbin…DH would ask if I’d taken leave of my senses to commit to 5 things when I’m already committed to so many (or is that just, “should be committed!!”). =)
Susan – you are just so generous. I love what you stitched and I was ill when you posted and couldn’t even go online because I had elphantitis – not really I had Labyrnthitis which is an inner ear infection and I felt seasick all the time but I’m better now. You just are one of the loveliest people I know.
