GTG Recap
Saturday’s GTG went well. I hosted 9 fellow stitchers from “The Wagon” stitching board. They travelled from Wisconsin, Ohio, Indiana, Iowa and Illinois to meet up. I’d met 5 of them before, so it was great to catch up with them, and nice to have the opportunity to meet stitchers who I’ve “known” online for a number of years, but not had the chance to meet in person before.
The Illinois contingent were myself (of course!), Jen (U9corn Angel) and Eva (Frauevi). Anita (Anita in Iowa) and Chris (NCRichards) travelled from Iowa; Melissa (missycor) Jenny (JenJen3574), and Kelly (marissamom2) arrived from Wisconsin, Annie (annieadams) drove all the way from southern Ohio, and Holly (indystitch) came in from Northern Indiana.
We spend an afternoon catching up, sharing WIPs, eating, chatting, laughing, and we even managed to get some stitching done!
We had a gift exchange, and a “swap meet”, where everybody brought in their stash that they no longer wanted.
I managed to get pictures of nearly everybody – for some reason, I don’t think I got a close-up of Holly – maybe it’s because we e-mail each other every day, and I see here on a more regular basis than the others – sorry, Holly!

Looks like a lovely day.
It sounds and looks like you had a fantastic time Susan!
Great pictures! Thanks again for hosting, it was wonderful to meet everyone in person. Hope to do it again soon.

It was really wonderful to finally meet everyone in person!!
Susan called me just before noon to find out where we were. When I answered the cell and heard a strong accent, I knew who it had to be!! My math was so bad Saturday…. I kept saying it took us 3 hours to get there, but it really took 4. I don’t know where the 3 hours came from! I put 526 miles on my car Saturday. Normally that would take 2-3 months to pile up. Driving through downtown that night was very, very eerie due to the power outage there.
Looks like you all had a great time.
Thanks again for hosting Susan. It was a lovely afternoon.
I would have loved to seen photos of what each of you were stitching.
How wonderful to be able to stitch with a group of friends. There are two other stitching bloggers in Las Vegas. It was has been suggested that we meet up, but I’m the one with the impossible schedule, either not here or very busy. I have a stitching friend in Los Angeles who I see a couple of times a year. I really enjoy stitching with her, even if it is only us.
It’s nice to put faces with names. Looks like y’all had an awesome time!!! Suz
Wow, looks like a fantastic time!! It’s nice to “see” some of you ladies for the first time!
It looks like you all had a marvelous time!! I’m happy for ya’ll, that you were able to get together, have fun, meet new friends, enjoy time with old friends, and stitch together! =)
The weekend looked as though it was a great success, very nice to see pic but where were you!!!.
