4th of July

I hope my American friends have a great 4th of July – drive safe, and stay safe!
I’m heading out to Indiana this afternoon after work, to spend the holiday weekend at my in-laws. I love hanging out at their place in summer. They live across the street from a great beach on Lake Michigan; they have a front patio that is perfect for just sitting and relaxing and enjoying watching the world go by.
Tomorrow, we’ll head to the town center for the 4th of July Parade, which is pretty much a small-town parade, with most of the participants being under the age of 10. After the parade, we’ll stay for brats and a drink, before heading back to the house for a relaxing day. We’ll have a grill-out for dinner, and then walk to the golf course to watch the fireworks display.
I don’t have anything planned for Saturday, but on Sunday, there is the annual parade in Michigan City, which gives us another chance to get outdoors and enjoy the sunshine.
